About Coupland ISD

Coupland School has been serving the community of Coupland and the surrounding area since 1912. Our school has students in Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade.   Coupland ISD has an agreement with Taylor ISD for the education of Coupland residents in grades 9-12.  

According to the Fall PEIMS data 2022-2023,  the student body is comprised of 285 students,  of which  17% are transfer students from one of the neighboring districts. Demographics for the 2022-2023 school year are as follows:

Fun Facts

*Coupland's first mascot was a tiger.

*In 1946, Coupland had its last graduating class.

*In 1978, Coupland became an independent school district.

*In 1997, the gym was used to film scenes for the movie, Home Fries.

*In 2019, Coupland ISD passed the first bond election for $5,000,000 to add a new wing and some renovations to the 1970's building.

*In 2023 Coupland ISD passed the second bond election for $56,000,000 to build the new Coupland Middle School.
