Yesterday, our 4th graders went on a field trip to the State Capital. It was a beautiful day and a great experience. Our students received so many compliments! In fact, the tour guide said that Coupland was the most respectful school he’d ever seen at the Capital!

Today Ms. Dakota and Ms. Tai did a science project with their students about colors! They used marshmallows and watched the skittles turn the water a different color! They had a blast!

Congratulations to our Teacher of the Month, Ms. Valdez!! This is Mrs. Valdez’s first year at Coupland and she has stepped up into multiple roles. From stepping to support her partner during maternity leave, offering to help anywhere she can, to heading up the 2nd Grade Live Museum. Mrs. Valdez also leverages her experiences and connections to recruit for the Coupland ISD and the new secondary campus. She has brought new and exciting ideas to the school for students and we’re excited to see where next year takes us. 🤠💙

Data Collecting Activity in 5th grade math!
1st grade’s story of the week was, “So You Want To Grow A Taco?” It focused on Text Organization so Mrs. Contreras went through the steps of making corn tortillas-just like it talked about in the story. 😋
