Welcome to Social Studies! I'm looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you this school year! I have been teaching for 13 years, and I am Certified in Texas for grades 7-12 in all Social Studies subjects/classes offered within the State of Texas. I strive to bring a real appreciation and understanding of Social Studies to all of my students, while making their learning experience enjoyable. 

Prior to my teaching career, I have spent 10 years in U.S. Government Service, which included 4 years in the United States Marine Corps and 3 years in the United States Secret Service. I have traveled extensively around the world during my government service, and I try to utilize some of my personal experiences, while teaching Social Studies to my students. I also look forward to my students telling me and teaching me about experiences and travels they might have had, as well.  Afterall, learning is a never ending process!
